A Scoping Review of Initiatives, Outcomes, Opportunities, and Challenges of Artificial Intelligence in Ethiopian Education

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is emerging as an important tool for improving teaching, learning, assessment, and educational management. This review aims to examine the current state of AI in Ethiopian education by synthesizing existing evidence on AI-related initiatives, their outcomes, opportunities, and implementation challenges. The study will identify key trends, research gaps, and lessons learned while exploring how AI can contribute to improving educational quality and access in Ethiopia. The findings are expected to inform educators, researchers, and policymakers and support the responsible integration of AI into the Ethiopian education system.
