Anchored on the Dynamic Capability theory, the study assessed the interactions of administrativecapacity and service quality of six Local Governments in Oyo State, Nigeria. A mixed method involvingqualitative and quantitative data collection was adopted while 384 people from the six selected LocalGovernments in Oyo State, Nigeria were studied. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to test thehypotheses in the study. The findings revealed that administrative capacity significantly has a positivebut weak significant effect on the service quality of selected Local Government areas in Oyo State,Nigeria. The study concluded that the government at the Federal and State levels must appreciate thelocal government's legislative obligations to the grassroots economy. More so, the local government'scapability to deliver the dividend of democracy lies in its administrative and financial autonomy. Thestudy recommended that the leadership of the local government in Oyo State need to provide funds toinnovate the local government offices and encourage innovation in terms of policies that can enhanceservice quality for the citizens of Oyo State, Nigeria.
