The aim of this study was to examine the extent of the effect of competitive intelligence (CI) on
SMEs’ competitiveness in Nigeria. Data was collected from a convenient sample size of 450
owners, managers, and senior staff of SMEs operating in the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria.
Descriptive and inferential statistics provided the basis for the analysis. The result agrees with
earlier studies reinforcing the opinion that competitive intelligence (CI) has significant positive
effect on SMEs’ competitiveness.
