African Games: 2023–2025

This dataset includes data on African produced video games developed between 2023 and 2025. The dataset structures data drawn from publicly accessible sources, including Wikidata, the Internet Games Database (IGDB), and official developer websites. These entries were then cleaned and reconciled using OpenRefine to ensure consistency in categories such as game title, developer location, genre, platform and release year. The dataset is imagined as a complementary update to the STEMTOTO African Games Database (stemtoto.org), which covers African games from 2020 to 2023, and the African Electronic Literature Alliance & African Diasporic Electronic Literature (AELA & ADELI)’s African Games dataset (africanelit.org), which includes data from 2019 to 2022.
