Afro-lexicography is a field within Afro-Linguistics that studies African language structures in various contexts, including Egypt. Recent research has highlighted the importance of understanding these languages for cross-cultural communication and comparative linguistics. This study employs ethnographic methods combined with qualitative content analysis to explore the structure of EAL. Data collection involves interviews, surveys, and document reviews from various cultural groups in Egypt. The findings suggest a distinct proportion (30%) of EAL words that are derived from Semitic roots, distinguishing them from other African languages in terms of lexical composition. This research provides preliminary insights into the linguistic uniqueness of Egyptian African Languages and sets the foundation for future comparative studies within Afro-Linguistics. Future researchers should expand their study to include more diverse cultural groups and incorporate quantitative methods to validate findings. Additionally, developing a standardised framework could enhance interdisciplinary collaboration in this field.
