Agreement classes, nominal form classes and gender in Setswana

This paper gives an overview of gender and noun classes in written Setswana distinguishing between nominal form classes and agreement classes. It argues against the synchronic recognition of the locative noun classes 16 and 18, and discusses cases of varying/variable agreement.
