Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly reshaping the global business environment, transforming how organizations operate, communicate, market products, manage customers, and make decisions. While large corporations across developed economies continue to lead in AI integration, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in developing economies like Nigeria face a unique set of opportunities and constraints in adopting AI-driven solutions.

This research explores the level of AI adoption among Nigerian MSMEs, identifies the key barriers limiting implementation, and examines the business impact of AI-driven tools across multiple sectors. The study combines practical field observations, expert insights, and emerging digital transformation patterns within Nigeria's entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The paper introduces the CAM-T Framework (Casper AI MSME Transformation), a five-stage adoption model developed to explain how MSMEs transition from AI awareness to scalable operational integration. The research further investigates infrastructure gaps, digital literacy gaps, implementation challenges, trust concerns, funding barriers, and organizational readiness affecting AI adoption.

The findings position AI not merely as a technological trend, but as a strategic competitiveness tool capable of reshaping the future of MSMEs in emerging economies. The study argues that while awareness of AI technologies is increasing rapidly among entrepreneurs, sustainable transformation requires localized implementation strategies, ecosystem collaboration, policy support, digital capacity development, and integration strategies.
