This study evaluates the potential for green hydrogen production in Angola using solar energy to support energy transition and net zero goals, focusing on Benguela Province due to its high solar irradiation. PVsyst and AutoCAD were used to simulate and de-sign an off-grid solar plant supplying two alkaline electrolysers. Results showed annu-al electricity production of 12,775 kWh and hydrogen production of 255.5 kg/year. Hydrogen output followed seasonal solar variations. The Levelized Cost of Hydrogen (LCOH) ranged from 3.50 to 10.40 USD/kg. Furthermore, the study confirms the technical fea-sibility and high potential of solar based hydrogen production in Angola.
