This study aimed to address the knowledge gaps in the economic literature
regarding the impact of macroeconomic variables such as GDP, exchange rate, interest rate, and
inflation on export volumes, which play a pivotal role in shaping economic policy in Algeria from
1995 to 2023. This was achieved by interpreting the results of quantile regression analysis applied
to data using a quantile regression estimator. The study found that GDP is the main driver of
exports, while the exchange rate has a varied and unclear impact on exports. Inflation and interest
rates, on the other hand, have a limited and weak effect on exports.
