This animation presents the evolution of the shoreline along the Zemmouri coast (Algeria) from 1992 to 2025 using multispectral satellite imagery. The shoreline is automatically extracted with sub-pixel accuracy using CoastSat.

The animation combines RGB imagery, pixel classification (“sand”, “white-water”, and “water”), and the MNDWI index. It highlights spatio-temporal variations of the coastline, including erosion and accretion processes.

A transect-based analysis identifies four main coastal sectors and illustrates both seasonal and long-term shoreline variability.
