This repository contains the anonymized survey dataset and analytical code used in the study:
"Carbon finance as climate adaptation depends on smallholder livelihood contexts in Uganda"
The dataset was collected to examine smallholder farmers’ preferences, perceptions, and decision-making processes related to participation in agroforestry-based carbon finance projects. It includes household characteristics, agricultural practices, climate change perceptions, social and institutional factors, and willingness to participate in carbon projects.
The dataset supports the analyses presented in the manuscript, including regression analyses of factors influencing farmers’ willingness to participate in climate finance and related agroforestry activities. Source data underlying the main figures are included in the repository or can be generated using the provided analysis scripts.

Ethical Considerations
The dataset has been de-identified prior to public release. No direct identifiers are included. Geographic identifiers and detailed information that may increase re-identification risk have been removed or transformed.
The repository contains the minimum data and code necessary to reproduce the analyses and figures presented in the manuscript.
