Antimicrobial Use in Food-Producing Animals in West Africa; A Scoping Review of Evidence, Practices and Policy Gaps

This scoping review aims to map the existing evidence, practices, and policy gaps regarding antimicrobial use (AMU) in food-producing animals across West Africa. By synthesizing peer-reviewed literature, the study seeks to identify regional trends in antibiotic consumption, drivers of misuse among livestock and poultry farmers, and critical gaps in current regulatory frameworks.
