Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Analytics in Cameroon

Abstract With the emergence and unprecedented development of information and communication technologies in recent years, organizations and countries started a race to adopt and benefit from operating as a digitalized economy. Two of the main technologies capturing the attention of decision-makers worldwide are artificial intelligence and big data analytics. Governments, organizations, and universities are challenged to adopt these key technologies. However, there are huge differences between developed, emerging, and lower-middle-income countries towards digital transformation strategies. Thus, in this chapter, we explore the dynamics, drivers, and enablers of Cameroon digitalization, considering AI and BDA's protagonism. Also, we present interesting insights for decision-makers and all interested in this topic for looking forward.
