Artificial Intelligence as a Mechanism to Materialize Sustainable Agricultural Development

The study aims to highlight the importance of applying artificial intelligence to achieve sustainable agricultural development, while addressing the most important technologies used in the field of agricultural development, such as the Internet of Things, blockchain, robotics, etc: Internet of Things, Blockchain, Robotics, etc. The study also addressed the diagnosis of the reality of agricultural development in Algeria and analyzed the incentive mechanisms used to promote the agricultural sector in Algeria. The study also dealt with diagnosing the reality of the application of artificial intelligence in Algerian agriculture and analysing the most important obstacles to its application in the field of agriculture. The study relied on a descriptive and analytical approach to the economic data for the period 2010-2021 collected from Algerian and international official bodies. The study concluded that the application of artificial intelligence contributes significantly to raising agricultural productivity and achieving sustainable agricultural development, while the study showed a weakness in the application of smart technologies in Algerian agriculture despite the adopted development programs aimed at promoting agriculture in Algeria.
