This recording was made at a wake keeping the night before the funeral of Geoffrey Adjabeng, a clan leader. The men gathered at one of the meeting places in the village and spent the night giving speeches, singing and drinking. This event was recorded by Sammy. No outside observer was present. In this recording, one of the attendants tells how they brought the body from the mortuary in Ho to Vane. He is then welcomed and greeted. Woagba Bazudie arrives at the wake keeping and is welcomed by the chairman of the wake keeping, the linguist Tsamie Atsu Ganusah. Woagba Bazudie tells the other people how he and some others traveled from the mortuary in Ho to Vane with the body. Tsamie Ganusah welcomes him and they exchange greetings. Then Tsamie Atsu Ganusah gives a short speech too. The only language spoken at this recording is Avatime. The recording was made by Sammy.
