This dataset comprises audio recordings captured from a wheat field located at Busogo, Rwanda. It has been specifically structured for binary classification tasks, distinguishing bird pest sounds from non-pest environmental sounds within agricultural settings. To ensure a comprehensive representation of non-pest sounds—particularly since the recording location was situated in a semi-urban environment, the non-pest class includes supplemental audio samples obtained from the UrbanSound8K dataset, which shares similarities with environmental noises recorded at the farm site.
