This study provides a comprehensive genomic characterisation of the Ashanti Dwarf Pig (ADP) of Ghana, an important indigenous breed facing threats of genetic erosion from crossbreeding. Using over 59,000 SNP markers across 875 pigs from African, European, and Asian populations, the research examined genetic diversity, structure, inbreeding, and selection signatures.
