This list of about 1900 words in Barayin [bva] is exported from a FLEx database compiled by Joseph Lovestrand. The words are mostly in the Jalkiya dialect of Barayin with occasional words in the Giliya dialect. The list also includes borrowings from French and Arabic. Glosses are given in English (en), French (fr) and Chadian Arabic (shu) where available. This list has not been checked for consistency, and glosses do not necessarily represent the full semantic range of each word. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
