This study translated, culturally adapted, and validated the Leprosy Case Detection Delay (CDD) Questionnaire for use among Igbo-speaking populations in Nigeria. Using a standardized cross-cultural adaptation process, the instrument underwent forward and back translation, expert review, content validation, and cognitive testing among persons affected by leprosy. Psychometric evaluation demonstrated excellent content validity, strong test–retest reliability, and good internal consistency, indicating that the Igbo version is a reliable and valid tool for measuring delays in leprosy case detection in Nigeria.
