Type locality: Minankro, Ivory Coast

Type host: cow

Current status: a synonym of Rhipicephalus geigyi and its original name (Guglielmone & Nava 2014). The current status of Boophilus geigyi, as Rhipicephalus geigyi, was established by Horak et al. (2002).
