Abstract: This article examines how post-conflict societies navigate the dual identity of former child soldiers as both victims and perpetrators. Drawing on legal frameworks, societal perceptions, and comparative experiences from Uganda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Colombia, it argues that sustainable reintegration requires rights-based, community-led, and context-specific approaches. The article concludes that prioritizing rehabilitation over punishment is essential for both justice and lasting peace.
