This report presents a comprehensive analysis of Algeria’s Climate, Land, Energy, and Water (CLEW) systems, developed using the OSeMOSYS modeling framework. It explores major sustainability challenges and evaluates resource trade-offs under various long-term development scenarios, including increased deployment of renewable energy, expansion of desalination capacity, and efforts to achieve food self-sufficiency. The study aims to inform strategic policy decisions by emphasizing the interlinkages between energy, water, and land sectors. This work was conducted as part of the Energy Modelling Platform – Global (EMP-G) 2025, hosted at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste, Italy.
