CLEWS Modeling to investigate the environmental impact of intensified agriculture, and the impact of NDC on power production. It was found that geothermal remains the dominant source due to its reliability and low emissions. For the scenario under intensified agriculture, a reduction in emissions from agricultural diesel was noted. This is attributed to less land expansion due to higher yields per unit of land. This avoids land-use change and emissions from agricultural expansion. Future direction could focus on integrating the whole agricultural supply-chain to better model emissions contribution.
