Climate-related Tweets from the UK and Nigeria

This dataset contains tweet identifiers and derived metadata from climate-related Twitter/X posts originating from the United Kingdom and Nigeria. The dataset is shared to support reproducibility and transparency in computational analyses of climate discourse.

The released data includes:

  • Tweet IDs and timestamps

  • Country-level attribution (UK or Nigeria)

  • Slang-related indicators, including slang presence and frequency

Raw tweet text is not included in order to comply with platform policies and ethical research guidelines. Tweet content can be rehydrated using the Twitter/X API in accordance with the platform’s terms of service.

This dataset is intended for research use in studies of social media discourse, informal language use, and cross-cultural communication related to climate change.
