This dataset provides a first-order assessment of the exposure of buildings to long-term sea level rise (SLR) across the Global South, focusing on Africa, Southeast Asia, South America, and the Caribbean & Mexico. Using satellite-derived elevation data (FABDEM), global building footprints (Google Open Buildings V2), and tidal information (FES14), the dataset quantifies the number and area of buildings at risk of inundation under multiple sea level rise scenarios. Outputs are provided at both national and gridded 50km resolutions, with building exposure estimates calculated for sea level rise increments of 0, 0.5, 2, 5, 15, and 20 meters. Python code is provided as well for further research to build upon this methodolgy for other SLR mitigation purposes.  This dataset highlights the geographic variability of exposure across the Global South and provides an open resource for further research on climate risk, adaptation, and mitigation planning.
