This study examines how well AI works to stop fraud in Nigerian listed deposit money banks by examining the roles of AI computer vision and robotic process automation (RPA). This research is important because the increasing complexity of financial crimes within the Nigerian banking sector. This study builds on earlier work that recognizes AI as a revolutionary tool for detecting fraud and managing financial risk. It helps fill in the gaps in our knowledge about how different AI-related factors work together to affect fraud prevention outcomes. A cross-sectional survey design was used to focus on risk management, IT security, and forensic auditing expert from Nigeria’s listed deposit money banks. The structured questionnaires yielded 92 valid responses. SPSS was used to perform descriptive statistics and multiple regressions on the data. The results show that using AI, AI computer vision, and robotic process automation (RPA) makes fraud detection much more effective. The most important predictor was the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies driven tools and fraud prevention strategies have strong positive correlations. The study provides useful information for bank executives, lawmakers, and IT professionals who want to maximize the benefits of AI integration for managing fraud risk. This study offers empirical evidence for the strategic function of AI in bolstering financial stability in developing countries
