The study aimed at identifying students’ preferred conflict resolution styles at Nigeria Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Delta State, Nigeria. The descriptive method was used. The data of the study were collected through the questionnaire. The sample of the study consisted of 60 students. Findings revealed that competing is the first with high mean followed by accommodating. The other three variables, avoiding, compromising and collaborating also maintain more than the average. In light of the study results, the researcher recommended providing educational programmes to students focusing on skills such as tolerance, critical thinking, teamwork, communication, negotiation, dialogue, decision making, problem solving and resilience to reduce the possibility for their resort to (competing) as a preferred conflict resolution style.
