Inside "Kandel_etal_2023.zip" you can find data and code to reproduce figures 15–22. To do so, open the R Project 'road_paper.Rproj' and run the respective R scripts. Each script is accompanied by folder of the same name, that includes input data as well as the resulting figures. The figures are titled
The study was conducted with R v.4.1.2 in RStudio v.2022.12.0+353. We used the following R libraries (in alphabetical order): cowplot (v. 1.1.1), gglorenz (v.0.0.2), ggspatial (v.1.1.6), ggvenndiagram (v.1.2.2), readr (v.2.1.2), readxl (v.1.3.1), rnaturalearth (v.0.1.0), scales (v.1.1.1), scico (v.1.3.1), sf (v.1.0-7), tidyverse (v.1.3.1), and xlsx (v.0.6.5).
Figure 22 (fig_white_spots) was created with QGIS v.3.30.0 ‘s-Hertogenbosch. For cartography we used geodata distrubuted by Natural Earth under the Public Domain license.
