This dataset accompanies the study "AI Usage Intensity and Perceived Critical Thinking among Indonesian Information Systems Students." It contains anonymized survey responses from 199 undergraduate Information Systems students across 17 Indonesian universities, collected via an online questionnaire between May and June 2026.
The survey measured AI usage intensity across five behavioral dimensions (frequency, duration, direct adoption of outputs, reliance for complex tasks, and reliance for argument construction) on a five-point Likert scale, combined into a composite AI Usage Intensity Score (AIIS) ranging from 5 to 25. It also gathered open-ended responses on tool preference, error-handling behavior, privacy awareness, and perceived impact on critical thinking.
The package includes the cleaned dataset (with the AIIS scoring computed), a codebook describing all variables, and the questionnaire. All direct identifiers (names, timestamps) have been removed and replaced with anonymized respondent codes (R001–R199); university names have been withheld and replaced with neutral codes to protect participant privacy.
