Dataset for Determinants of University-Industry Linkages in Ethiopian Public Universities

This dataset contains anonymized survey responses collected from academic staff across multiple Ethiopian public universities as part of a study examining the determinants of University-Industry Linkages (UIL). The dataset includes the final validated 19 measurement items representing three independent variables-Institutional Coordination & Individual Champions (IC&IC), Geographic Proximity (GP), and Government Support (GS)-as well as the dependent variable, Depth & Sustainability of UIL (DS). All items are measured on a 5-point Likert scale. Basic non-identifiable demographic variables are also included.All personal identifiers and metadata (names, phone numbers, timestamps, device IDs) have been removed to ensure confidentiality. The dataset is provided in both CSV and SPSS formats, accompanied by a codebook describing variable names, item wording, and measurement scales.This dataset supports the analyses reported in the associated manuscript and is shared to promote transparency, reproducibility, and further research on UIL in developing-country contexts.
