Dataset for the attitudes and practices regarding COVID-19 preventive measure in diverse settings of Mozambique: a qualitative study

In this data note we provide the details of a qualitative study database carried out in the first wave of COVID-19 pandemic in different settings in Mozambique where we analysed the behaviour related to home confinement, the mobility of household members and the territoriality of mobility during the period current measures to contain the spread of COVID-19. The purpose of this data note is to describe a dataset from a mixed study conducted in Mozambique used in a sub-analysis of data. A mixed study design was adopted with a qualitative component that used a generic qualitative design and a quantitative component that followed a cross-sectional descriptive design. In the qualitative component, using a combination of data collection techniques based on rapid ethnography and rapid rural assessment. Informal conversations with participants recruited on the public road exclusively fed the quantitative component, non-participant observations and semi-structured interviews generated both quantitative and qualitative data. These data, available in our repository, favours several angles of assessments of behaviour related to home confinement, mobility and territoriality of a population group during the first wave of the COVID-19 outbreak.
