Adolescent depression and anxiety symptoms are prevalent globally, particularly amongst youths in low-income regions such as those in Sub Saharan Africa (SSA). However, there has been minimal research on the prevalence and correlates of these conditions with SSA youths. To address this gap in literature, we conducted a cross-sectional study to assess the prevalence rates, as well as the sociodemographic and psychosocial correlates, of depression and anxiety symptoms in a large sample of Kenyan youths.
