This project focuses on the design and simulation of a secure, manageable Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) tailored for a small enterprise environment, with a case study on I CAN South Sudan. The goal is to improve network performance and security by segmenting broadcast domains using VLAN technology. The project includes a detailed design analysis and performance evaluation through simulations conducted in Cisco Packet Tracer, a widely-used network simulation tool. The results demonstrate that VLAN implementation significantly enhances throughput and network efficiency while maintaining device connectivity and security. Additionally, the network design offers scalability, allowing for future expansion without major reconfiguration. This work provides a practical networking solution suitable for small to medium enterprises, particularly in developing regions.
