With the increased environmental, social, and economic impacts of climate change, it is imperative that green innovations are utilized for sustainable growth, particularly in the Global South. When providing a green innovation, a context-specific implementation needs to be utilized. This research works to create an implementation framework for green innovation suited for the Global South, using the country of Benin as a case study. Using a grounded theory approach, qualitative data was collected through interviews and was then analyzed to find key concepts related to the success of green innovation interventions. These findings were used to develop an implementation framework for Benin and other countries with similar contexts. This study adds to the growing research on how sustainable interventions can be introduced to the Global South.
