Community-based digital health interventions (DHIs) are widely seen as promising tools to bridge access gaps and strengthen service delivery for maternal and neonatal health outcomes in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). However, equity-related determinants and outcomes in their design and implementation remain poorly understood. This review aims to explore the digital and social determinants influencing inequities in implementation, access and utilization of community-based digital health interventions for maternal and child health in SSA, highlighting equity needs and strategies.
