This article aims to analyze the determining factors behind the persistence of barriers to financial inclusion in Morocco. It also seeks to highlight the relationship between several economic, social, cultural, regulatory and institutional constraints on the access and use of financial services by underserved populations. Thus, our methodology is exclusively quantitative and relies on a survey conducted through a questionnaire targeting a sample of 562 individuals from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. The collected data were analyzed using the partial least squares method (SmartPLS). The study reveals the importance of improving financial education, digital infrastructure, and regulatory flexibility to overcome financial exclusion. It also underscores the need to strengthen trust in financial institutions, adapt financial products to user needs, and implement inclusive public policies that promote financial empowerment for all segments of the population.
