A systematic review and meta-analysis of the determinants of tuberculosis preventive therapy initiation and completion among adolescents and adults living with HIV in sub-Saharan Africa. Six databases were searched to 15 August 2026 with no language restriction. Adjusted effect estimates for initiation and completion were pooled by generic inverse variance under random effects models, and three cascade proportions (coverage among people in HIV care, initiation among those eligible, completion among initiators) were pooled separately on the logit scale. Studies were appraised with the Joanna Briggs Institute checklists and reporting follows PRISMA 2020. This project holds the registration, the search string log, the screening record, the extraction dataset and the analysis script. Registered retrospectively; see the registration form for the review stage at the date of registration.
