Purpose: This study aims to develop and evaluate the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of an Ethnomathematics-based Student Worksheet (LKPD) incorporating the Kaili Tribe’s traditional house (Souraja) for teaching triangle concepts to Class VII students at MTs Muhammadiyah Nunu.Design/methodology/approach: Utilizing a Research and Development (R&D) design with the ADDIE framework, data were gathered via 4 expert validation questionnaires, student response surveys, practice achievement tests, interviews, and documentation, analyzed through quantitative descriptive analysis. Findings: The developed worksheet demonstrated high validity with an 87% expert validation score, exceptional practicality with an 86.58% student response score, and solid effectiveness with an 80.41% test pass rate. Practical implications: This instructional tool offers mathematics educators a contextual pedagogical resource, facilitating geometric conceptual understanding by leveraging local cultural heritage. Originality/value: The research uniquely integrates traditional Souraja architectural geometry into formal school mathematics, establishing a novel cultural-mathematical framework for secondary education.
Purpose: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menguji kevalidan, kepraktisan, serta keefektifan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis etnomatematika rumah adat Suku Kaili (Souraja) pada materi segitiga kelas VII MTs Muhammadiyah Nunu. Design/methodology/approach: Menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket validasi (4 ahli), angket respon siswa, tes hasil belajar, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, yang dianalisis secara kuantitatif deskriptif. Findings: LKPD terbukti sangat valid berdasarkan penilaian ahli (87%), sangat praktis menurut respon siswa (86,58%), dan efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan rata-rata ketuntasan tes sebesar 80,41%. Practical implications: LKPD ini menyediakan media pembelajaran matematika kontekstual bagi guru untuk mempermudah pemahaman konsep geometri siswa melalui peninggalan budaya lokal. Originality/value: Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada integrasi struktur arsitektur tradisional Souraja ke dalam materi geometri segitiga, menjembatani kearifan lokal Suku Kaili dengan konsep matematika formal secara inovatif.
