Development of an online open science platform, making science research easy and accessible for agricultural students in Cameroon

The main aim of this project is to contribute to the quality and adaptable research work through the practice of open science in Cameroon. Specifically, it will be to: Develop a platform that will connect researchers, students, potential funders and research institutions; Empower students with skills like research methodology, proposal writing (in the context of Cameroon), and grant writing and management; Provide job placement opportunities for fresher The growing population worldwide including Cameroon, there is a need to increase crop production and management, develop climate-smart solutions and provide quality data for use. It's believed that quality research with accessible funds can contribute to the development of a country and provide necessary skills for students in need of a job. So far, more than 80% of undergraduate and graduate students are unable to design a good research proposal or find good research topics for their graduation theses. Also, lecturers often have research ideas, and available funds and are often open to collaborating with students in sharing their research experience but find it difficult to find qualified students for implementation. This platform will help students find available research topics and jobs for better research collaboration. It will also enhance the skills of students in open science and other training by participating in seminars and training organized via the platform.
