Diagnosis, Treatment, and Outcomes of Adults Admitted with Possible Malaria at a District Hospital in Sierra Leone: A Prospective Observational Study

Data on 184 adult hospital patients in Sierra Leone with possible malaria from September 2022-2023. The data were collected for a study to document diagnosis and treatment practices for malaria in adults at a major district hospital in Sierra Leone, where malaria is one of the leading causes of death overall and in adults. We wanted to find out whether treatment patterns might be contributing to the high mortality rate.
