The Dialogues of Delivery dataset is a multilingual, clinically validated question-and-answer corpus designed to support maternal healthcare communication in East Africa. It comprises 3,640 parallel Q/A pairs available in four languages: English, Luganda, Runyankore, and Swahili. The data was sourced qualitatively from expectant mothers, postpartum mothers, and healthcare providers at two health facilities in Western Uganda. It covers essential maternal health themes, including pregnancy symptoms, nutrition, postpartum recovery, and the intersection of cultural practices with clinical care. This dataset was purposefully built to enable the fine-tuning of Large Language Models (LLMs) and the development of conversational AI tools, aiming to provide accessible, culturally resonant, and linguistically appropriate maternal health guidance in low-resource settings.
