This chapter examined how the rapid expansion of digital technologies across Africa reshaped leadership practices and peacebuilding efforts, with a particular focus on Nigeria. As socio-political instability, ethno-religious tensions, and evolving civic engagement patterns intensified, digital platforms increasingly functioned both as tools for peace and conduits for conflict. Using Transformational Leadership Theory as the analytical lens, the chapter analyzed how leaders adapted to the demands of a digitally networked society by embracing vision, ethical persuasion, technological competence, and inclusive engagement. It highlighted how governmental actors, faith leaders, youth influencers, and community organizers employed digital tools such as social media, peace dashboards, and mobile-based early warning systems to support conflict mitigation, promote civic dialogue, and shape public narratives toward peaceful coexistence. The chapter also underscored the substantial challenges that constrained digital peace leadership, including misinformation, fragmented authority, cybersecurity vulnerabilities, and digital inequalities. These dynamics complicated leaders’ ability to maintain trust and legitimacy in volatile contexts. The chapter concluded that sustainable digital peacebuilding required more than technological innovation; it depended on context-sensitive, people-centered leadership capable of fostering trust, strengthening digital literacy, and mobilizing multi-sector collaborations. It recommended partnerships, leadership development initiatives, and inclusive digital policies that empowered emerging leaders—particularly youth and faith-based actors—to navigate digital spaces responsibly. By integrating African leadership philosophies with transformational principles, the chapter offered a nuanced framework for reimagining leadership for peace in an increasingly digital and interconnected society
