Distribution of Selected Public Sector Health Workers by County, Kenya (2020)

Extended data / Supplementary material: This dataset is a supplementary document accompanying the study Evaluating the Kenya-Cuba Health Cooperation Program: Outcomes, Challenges, and Policy Lessons for Human Resources for Health. It contains county-level information on the distribution of selected public sector health workforce cadres in Kenya. The dataset also includes county population estimates and the proportional distribution of each health workforce cadre across the 47 counties. It was used to provide contextual information on the existing health workforce landscape and to aid interpretation of findings regarding specialist workforce shortages and the rationale for the Kenya-Cuba Health Cooperation Program.
