This dataset contains survey data from 284 cocoa farmers and complementary key informant interview data collected from the Adansi North District (Moist Semi-deciduous Forest Zone) and Offinso Municipality (Dry Semi-deciduous Forest Zone) in Ghana. The data include farmers' socio-demographic characteristics, farm and institutional attributes, cocoa varieties cultivated, perceptions of drought-resilient cocoa varieties, and factors influencing varietal selection under changing climatic conditions. Quantitative data were collected using structured questionnaires, while qualitative data were obtained through key informant interviews with Cocoa Health and Extension Division (CHED) officers. The dataset supports research on climate-smart agriculture, cocoa agroforestry, farmer decision-making, climate change adaptation, and adoption of drought-resilient cocoa varieties in Ghana
