EDITORIAL : Meaning: Between Heritage and Linguistic and Literary Itineraries

This second volume of the journal Faits de Langue et Société serves as an interdisciplinary crossroads, analyzing the linguistic and cultural mutations within Mediterranean and African spaces. Adopting an approach that rejects identity-based withdrawal, the work explores the mechanics of meaning by theorizing interculturality as an autonomous research model, capable of grasping both the historical figures of Andrée Chedid and the spatial tragedy of clandestine migration. This memorial vigil extends to the preservation of intangible heritage, from oral tales to the lexicographical archives of Saïd Cid Kaoui—fundamental pillars of the Amazigh language. Scientific rigor is further deployed through the study of the living body of language, combining Maupassantian lexicometry, the analysis of loanwords in Moroccan Arabic, and didactic innovation for Tamazight.
