The study investigated the effect of Jigsaw II cooperative learning strategy on achievement of students in differential calculus at the Federal College of Education (Technical) Gombe. The design was quasi experimental non-equivalent control group. The population of the study comprised 125 NCE I mathematics students. Cluster sampling technique was used to select the same 125 students from the study area. The Differential Calculus Achievement Test (DCAT) was administered before and after the treatment. Null hypotheses were developed and tested at 0.05 level of significance. The data collected from the study were analysed using SPSS version 23. Independent Samples t-test statistic was used in testing the hypotheses. Jigsaw II cooperative learning strategy was used to teach experimental group differential calculus while conventional lecture method was used to teach control group the same topics. The analysis of the data indicated that the students in the experimental group achieved significantly higher than those in the control group. Also, students taught with Jigsaw II cooperative learning strategy performed significantly higher than those taught with conventional lecture method.
