Africa's energy shortfall requires creative funding. Energy infrastructure projects have been funded domestically by a number of governments on the continent via sovereign bonds, pension funds, and government budgets. The purpose of the study was to assess the effect of sustainable energy data centres in the banking sector in Ghana. The study used descriptive statistics, and regression analysis. This suggests that year is associated with the dependent variables and any increase or decrease in year is expected to influence the dependent variables. It was detected that when consumption of renewable energy, consumption of non-renewable energy, consumption of electricity and year were used to predict CO2 emissions in one model, it was identified that, consumption of non-renewable energy and time do not influence CO2 emissions. The study recommends that policies that promote consumption of renewable energy should be reviewed.
