Abstract: This research aims to examine the effects of inequalities in life expectancy and education on economic complexity between 2010 and 2020 across a sample of 29 sub-Saharan Africa countries. Several estimation methods such as robust OLS, quantiles and system GMM are used. Overall, it emerges that rising inequalities in human capital degrade economic complexity. Thus, in order to facilitate the complexity of Sub-Saharan Africa economies, governments must direct policies towards reducing inequalities in life expectancy and education.
