This paper examines the challenges of employee productivity in Nigeria and suggests several solutions. Employee productivity refers to the magnitude of output produced by an institution or organization's staff within a specific period or appropriate time scale. It is the continuous improvement of employees' performance that greatly impacts the prosperity, growth, and economy of a nation. For these reasons, organizational leaders in Nigeria are responsible for stimulating and fostering a culture that increases employee productivity. Training and development, security (life and property insurance), workplace ethics, salary increases, employee incentives, and promotions should be provided to ensure optimum results from employees. Also, systematic approaches for assessing employees' performance should be critically determined.
