Empowering Global AMR Research Community: Interactive GIS Dashboards for AMR Data Analysis and Informed Decision-Making

Our team participated in the 2023 Vivli AMR Surveillance Data Challenge. We were one of the finalists as Team 8952. Our project, titled "Empowering Global AMR Research Community: Interactive GIS Dashboards for AMR Data Analysis and Informed Decision-Making," was published by Wellcome on May 2, 2024 (wellcomeopenresearch.org). It is part of the Vivli AMR Open Data Reuse Data Challenge Collection (wellcomeopenresearch.org). Since its publication, the paper has garnered 295 views and 19 downloads. It has significantly impacted the AMR community, leading to my invitation to present the paper to the AMR Community of Practice at Africa Society for Medical Science on June 28. Additionally, we have been contacted by AMR researchers, policymakers, and others regarding the paper's impact. We also received a positive review with minor suggestions from one reviewer (See the Reviewer Comments at wellcomeopenresearch.org). The AMR research community has requested that we expand our research to include additional datasets beyond the ATLAS data from Pfizer, which was used in the 2023 challenge. Given the high demand from readers and the significant impact of our paper on the AMR community, I plan to contunie our research by incorporating other datasets alongside the ATLAS.
